How the AI background remover works
Booxtools Studio uses a modern image segmentation neural network that runs directly in your browser through WebAssembly. When you drop in a photo, the model identifies the main subject — a person, product, pet, car or logo — and creates a precise mask around it, including fine edges like hair and shoe laces.
The first time you use the tool, your browser downloads the AI model once and caches it. Every image after that is processed almost instantly and completely offline-capable. Nothing is ever sent to our servers.
